Senior Data Analyst

The Senior Data Analyst will develop, implement and maintain a comprehensive set of operational and product centric data capture methods, analysis, management reports and Key Performance Indicators, thus providing an adequate set of tools for business planning and strategic decision making. The Senior Data Analyst translates business planning targets into operational metrics for a variety of business requirements. As an analyst, this candidate highlights performance issues and gaps, conducts root cause analysis and facilitates performance optimiatization throughout the  organization to reach or exceed defined targets for business performance and product quality. This role is responsible for the validation, timeliness, accuracy and improvement of the data feeding the performance reports, management information and KPI’s. The Senior Data Analyst will take the initiative to conduct root cause analysis on data quality issues and initiate and drive data quality improvement programs as required.


  • Use a variety of data sources to identify and analyze trends, variances, and anomalies in data sets in order to develop recommendations for business leaders
  • Conducts various analysis both on own initiative and on request from the organization
  • Produce reports in a variety of formats to clearly communicate results of analaysis
  • Work directly with internal stakeholders to report data analysis and identify areas of optimization or improved performance


  • BA/BS in a quantitative discipline (e.g. sciences, mathematics, business intelligence, economics, accounting, operations research, business) 
  • 5+  years relevant work experience in business operations or data management environment, including a demonstrable track-record of success and/or promotion
  • Experience with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Ability to extract and manipulate data from multiple, complex data sources with a high degree of accuracy
  • Ability to tackle complex analysis from multiple data sources and produce actionable business solutions
  • Must be able to combine a quantitative outlook with the ability to articulate results in a clear and concise way to both internal and external teams.
  • Experience with predictive modeling and forecasting
  • Detailed oriented and motivated to learn and improve on business and analytic skills
  • Must be able to establish solid, working relationship with the stakeholders and become a trustworthy partner with respect to analysis, reporting, and business needs
  • Experience with business intelligence tools and Web Analytics Packages
  • Database experience, preferably SQL and Hive
